  3. The next thing that you really need to do is to ask yourself why I want to change what I am putting into my body, and most of us will answer this question with to be healthier. Many people choose this type of lifestyle because of their love for animals, so both of these are very popular reasons people choose this type of meal plan.
  4. What you want to focus on are plant-based food groups, but if you are like me and are not able to eat grains this makes this change much more challenging.
  5. For many of us easing into the vegan diet is our best strategy, I have tried many times to change completely overnight and every time I have failed. So if you are a breakfast person start by adding a plant-based breakfast to get started, and for those of you who don’t do this meal start with your first meal of the day to be totally plant-based.
  6. Once you are able to make your first meal without any cravings, you will then want to add the second meal of your day to be plant-based as well.

With my change that was not possible and the reason was that my allergy and intolerance foods were making me extremely sick.
  8. Whenever you are ready you can eliminate all animal products completely, but I have never been able to do this myself. My diet consists of mainly some vegetables and fruits, and as animal products go I am forced to go with grass-fed meats.
  9. If you do like me happen to fall off the wagon and give in to non-vegan, you really need to just get back on track and not give in completely as I always do.

  • All the fruit food groups are on your list as well, and again as long as you have no allergies or intolerances to any of them.
  • Oils you want to be sure to stick with plant-based, and I use olive oil which is a healthy fat.
  • To improve your meals you will want to start experimenting with herbs and spices, and both of these are very healthy for you.

This crisis we are living in is not just in the United States, and I have added prayers on my own prayer list for every person in the world. I strongly believe every person in every country is a child of God, and we must realize there are good people and bad people in every country including the United States. So let us pray for everyone in the world to survive the COVID-19 crisis, we have already lost way too many lives to this terrible virus.

  • The first step is to open your heart with sincerity for everyone in the world, and you must not think of people in other countries in a negative manner. Forget that they might look different than you, but accept all people wish for the same things in their lives.
  • Secondly, you must make this a regular part of your praying routine, we are people of habits. So as you form this new habit, you will find this will become natural with time and patience.
  • We all need to have faith in the words in our prayers, so allow your heart to speak to God through your prayers.
  • Sincerely provide love to everyone in the world and even those who might do you wrong. Forgiveness might be very difficult for most of us, but this is something we must do to be able to love the world.

Even after I became so ill I had to give up my career, I still fought the idea of adding prayers into my life. Like many people, I also did not start to form a relationship with God until I was desperate for a miracle in my life. Now, this is a part of my daily routine, and on my worse days, I might speak with him several times asking him for strength and wisdom. The Ten Commandments

All you need to do is start talking to God, so making time for him is the key to getting started. You don’t even have to read the bible, but I do recommend you read the ten commandments and start doing your best to follow them. When you do slip up as we all do, you will not be punished just admit to God you messed up and you will be forgiven. Even the most dedicated Christians lose their temper at times, and we all say things that we don’t really mean when anxiety and stress get the best of us. So learning the ten commandments and doing your best to follow them is a very good way to get started, and make the time to talk to him regularly about what is on your mind and in your heart is easier than you might think right now?

  1. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
  3. “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
  4. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it, you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

As you read the ten commandments you will notice that they are commonsense, and the majority of people do try to be a good person and naturally want to follow these in their daily lives. So just making it a point to try to follow these more than you are doing now is a good start, and when you sin all you have to do is admit it to God and you will be forgiven. Prayers For Children With COVID

The first prayers I want to share with you is for the children, and many of you might be misled thinking your children are immune to this virus. There are kids who have weak immune systems today, so they are at high-risk to become infected and even could lose their lives. So open your heart as you read these, and help God heal our children who are ill. Parents and grandparents are in need of your prayers for COVID 19 patients, and I urge you to provide them the power of prayer with an open heart.

God,
You know right now things feel scary.
We are worried, and my child does not feel well.
But even now, we know we are not alone.
Love surrounds us like warm blankets.
Hope is still there, even when we can’t always see it.
Everywhere we look, there are doctors and nurses and helpers.
May our hearts be filled with peace instead of worry,
Hope instead of fear,

I know for a fact my niece who was in 10th grade last year was passed to 11th grade this year, but what concerns me is she actually missed out on an entire year of school due to this pandemic we are living in right now.   • Anyone of any age who starts to talk about death is possibly going to become suicidal if they don’t get treatment. so this I would say is really the most serious symptom you want to take seriously and seek treatment immediately.

The part of Pennsylvania I live in has been very lucky when it comes to this virus, and even though the schools have been closed the children in my neighborhood seem to be doing just fine. The majority of the kids are playing outdoors most days, and even though I don’t agree with their parents the children seem to be happy and doing very well. The virus is becoming more severe where I live as well, but still, the children are out playing like there is nothing wrong. What bothers me, even more, is every time I go to the store for groceries there are people not wearing masks. Even if they don’t feel the masks do any good, I feel they still should wear them to protect the rest of us who are wearing masks as a safety precaution. As everyone knows wearing masks is a very serious issue right now in our country, but I don’t see what harm it does to wear a mask when you go out in public? We just don’t know enough about this to know if they do or don’t make any difference, but I would think parents and grandparents would at least be wearing masks on their children?

Jesus, during Your ministry on Earth You showed Your power and caring by healing people of all ages and stations of life from physical, mental, and spiritual ailments. Be present now to people who need Your loving touch because of COVID-19. May they feel Your power of healing through the care of doctors and nurses.

Take away the fear, anxiety, and feelings of isolation from people receiving treatment or under quarantine. Give them a sense of purpose in pursuing health and protecting others from exposure to the disease. Protect their families and friends and bring peace to all who love them.

Natural Alternatives For Mild Depression

I am one of those people who have had a very negative experience with prescription medications, so I prefer to give natural alternatives a try before giving in to medication. I have been able to manage my mild depression naturally, but some of us might need more than this type of treatment, So what I recommend is you consult with your physician, and just ask him or her what they recommend.

I use St John Wort as needed for when I feel I need something for depression, but I don’t take this every day. If our government would provide more funds to these more of you could be living a better quality of life, so anyway here are some resources you might find useful.

  • American Society of Aging is highly recommended for people in their senior years and their caregivers, so this is the first place I am recommending you consider for assistance.
  • Leadership Council on Aging is the second resource I suggest you consider, you will find this to be one of your best resources to keep handy in case you ever need it.
  • National Association of Area Agencies on Aging is where you want to go for programs in your own community, and they are able to assist seniors within their local area what is available.
  • Senior Living is able to assist you in finding the best housing and care for you in your golden years, you will not only find a source of resources, but you also will find a good source of valuable tools on their website.

Many of the senior citizens in my community are not living the golden years, and actually, the majority of them are struggling to make ends meet month after month. Pensions are very low if they even have a pension of any kind, and the majority of them are depending on their social security just to get by. I have heard President Trump many times say he wants to get rid of social security, and if he would be re-elected and did this what is going to happen to all these people?

  • It is a fact that the average social security benefit is not enough for people to retire today, and I know many of these people who were working part-time at fast-food restaurants and Walmart just to pay for their medications. But many of you might be mistaken by our government giving you the impression everything is provided for you, and the majority of people also must pay for a supplement health insurance.
  • Many of you might not be aware there are taxes on this type of government income, and I ask you how fair is this to the senior citizens?
  • Thankful the majority of these people just need to claim their income on their income taxes, and the reason is the majority of the blue-collar workers when they retire are not receiving enough social security to be able to pay taxes on their income.
  • The law in the year of 2019 stated an individual receiving this type of income is only allowed to earn an additional $771.00, but really how many of them are healthy enough to work in their golden years?

I just wanted for my mother’s situation to clear this up, so don’t believe the politician’s when they say you don’t pay anything for your medical expenses when on social security. My mother has co-payments on all her medications, and also every medical appointment she has to pay a co-payment as well. The worse part is these are the times in our lives when we have the most health problems, and also how many seniors do you know that does not require any prescription medications?

The majority of the people in my community are senior citizens, and many are struggling with depression over not being able to spend time with their families. With the holidays coming this will be the worse holiday season for many of them, and to make things worse many women like my mother lives alone. So how can my mother and others like her cope during this terrible time, and below I have shared what I could find out for you.

  • The older you are in age the higher your risks are when it comes to COVID, and one of the main reasons for this is your immune system often becomes weaker as you age.
  • Many people older than 50 years old has chronic health issues, so they also are at a higher risk despite they are not in their senior years.
  • Children with health issues are at higher risk as well, so your health status is the main high-risk factor.
  • 8 out of every 10 deaths from this virus on an average are people over 65 years of age, so these people must be more careful than the younger members of their families.

Now you should understand better why our seniors are high-risk during the COVID 19, but how can they reduce their risks is what we are going to discuss next?

How To Reduce Your Risks

Anyone of any age actually needs to be extra careful, so even those of you with autoimmune diseases should be reading this?

  • President Trump is misleading the people in so many ways about the COVID, and people who wear a mask are not more of a risk to get infected as he has been saying. Everyone should be wearing a mask, and if more of us did we would not have nearly as many deaths from this virus.
  • When you must go out try to stay at least 6 feet from other people, and also you should avoid going out only when you have no other choice such as medical appointments and grocery shopping.

God In The White House

As much as the White House and the President had lied to the people, I just can’t accept that God is in our government today. We do need to all pray for America and do whatever we can do to bring God back into our country once again. Today I have some prayers you can use to pray for America, so open up your heart and add our entire country into your prayers.

Lord, humble me. Help me to see that I’m not always right and the world doesn’t revolve around me. Allow me to do what needs to be done to rid myself of my pride so with a contrite heart I can seek your face.

Amen.

Lord, strip me of my rebellion. Replace my rebellious heart with one that yields to your way of life in surrender.

Amen.

Lord, help me to see the issues around me in my community. Help me to be the person who goes out of my way to meet them.

Amen.

Lord, my heart has gotten hardened. I haven’t wanted to love people the way you love them. I’ve only loved those that think and act the way I do. Help me love people the way you love them. Help me to love enough I’d be willing to lay down my life for them.

This is just one way I am helping the people in my own neighborhood, and I also donate food to my local food bank every month, so here are some other ways you can help families in your own neighborhood.

  • Food baskets on your neighbor’s doorsteps are one way you can help a family, and being I am on a strict diet I understand that providing a basket of special foods they can eat is a very rewarding thing you can do for your neighbor. So many of us are on gluten-free diets, diabetics, and many other special diets, so if you know anyone like this I urge you to consider doing this if you can.
  • Do you know anyone in your community with an infant, you could send them or leave a case of baby formula for them. You can ask one of their neighbors or family members what brand of formula the baby needs, and you can even order this online and send it to them without leaving your name.
  • What about ordering a baby gift basket from Amazon or even Walmart, you can then have it delivered directly to the person’s home. People are in need of food, but when you provide their other needs you are helping them have more money for their baby?
  • Another priceless gesture for parents with a newborn baby would be diapers, I can remember how many diapers my sons went through so this would save them so much money for other things their baby might need.
  • If you are able to donate to the local Food Bank this is an easy way to help so many people in your community, I know for a fact there are so many people just where I live going to get a monthly box of food more now then ever I have ever known of.
  • Everyone needs clothing and has to eat, so these are the two main needs of everyone. you can also send or leave a gift card for them, and then they can use it for whatever they need the most. These are one of the best choices for a family you don’t know what they really need the most, and even a small gesture would be more appreciated then you can imagine during the COVID crisis we are in right now.

Everyone can give in their own way, so I am giving by writing my articles on this website. I donate what little I am able to afford when I can to organizations I strongly believe in, so you can be a big part of making a difference in a person or a family’s life. Why does the majority of us only practice giving mainly on Christmas and special holidays, and why is this not a part of our daily lives? The bible is one of the biggest motivators in my life, and I am not a religious person by any means. I don’t belong to any special church in my community, but going to church does not make you better than someone who does not. Action speaks more than anything else, so can you live with yourself knowing you are well off financially and not doing anything to help the less fortunate in your community? How do you sleep at night, and what about your health? The people who were the most giving in their lives have lived the best lives, and when you do for others it just might be the best medicine for what ails you?

Proverbs 11:25: “The generous person will prosper, and whoever refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”. Meaning: Giving benefits not only the recipient but also the giver. Proverbs 19:17: “The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah, and He will repay him for what he does.”.

Proverbs 11:24 states “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” It is righteous to practice generosity with our family, friends, and community as scripture inspires.

Many people think by attending church regularly and offering 10% of their income to their church they are going to heaven, but God knows your true heart and when you are doing things just to make points with him that is not going to make him happy. There are ways to get to heaven without having money in the bank, so listen to your heart and you will be hearing what God has planned for you to do with your life. I have experienced when I do for others, I am much happier than when I do something for myself. So in my opinion the best medicine is not man-made, but simply by doing something nice for someone else without expecting anything in return.

You know people with special needs such as a special diet plan is very difficult to find assistance, and this is an important issue for so many families with a child with food allergies and food intolerances. I for one am gluten and dairy-free, and even though the food banks provide you a box of food each month most of it I am not able to eat.
